Jiangsu Changkuang Engineering Machinery Co., Ltd. is located in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province. It was founded in 1966, the initial year of the national "Three Five Year Plan", and has a history of 57 years. Its predecessor was Changzhou Mining Machinery Factory,a professional factory designated by the First Ministry of Machinery Industry to produce mining machinery and transportation machinery. It plays a crucial role in China's industrial development.

Changkuang is one of the first batch of national second level enterprises and also the contracting unit for the national major research and development project of 40t container cross transport vehicles. It is the setter and participant of multiple industry standards, filling multiple technical gaps in related fields in China. In the 1990s, Changkuang relied on its strong capabilities to undertake multiple large-scale projects, including a key project - the manufacturing of sheet metal parts for the five major components of the Helicopter Ⅵ.
